GBR Recruitment Ltd are proud to be working exclusively with a modern market leading sustainable, environmentally friendly packaging business (food / FMCG sector packaging solutions) recruiting for an experienced Pouch Packaging Machine Operator, operating & setting a Karlville Swiss pouch machine that allows the Packaging business to specialise in flexible packaging solutions of various sizes & various materials (all sustainable / eco-friendly).
This highly skilled Pouch Packaging Machine Operator role is ideal for someone with flexible packaging & label converter Machinery experience, preferably Pouch production experienced, making Pouches that are three-side seal & stand-up (with or without zippers) to side-gusset bags, made to hold, seal & store various food types such as rice etc. The Pouches come in plain or printed High Gloss / Matt / Tactile, available in K - Seal or Doy. Properties of the Pouch products include rounded corners, tear notch, euroslot, reclose zippers & double cut.
Duties:
- Running & setting the Pouch Packaging Machine (Karlville), producing high quality Pouches.
- Conducting change overs to produce Pouches & Packaging of different sizes & of varying Eco materials.
- To work in line with the Packaging operations SOPs.
- Quality control of raw materials & finished machine Packaging products pre-dispatch to clients.
- Adhere to Food (version 9 BRC / BRCGS standards) / FMCG hygiene & safety legislation / compliance.
- Set the right temperature & pressure on the Packaging machines to ensure clients specifications are met.
- Keep to the Production plan, taking into consideration Packaging product volumes & Production time-frames.
- Keep the working area around the machinery tidy & clean at all times, to meet H&S requirements.
Experience Desired:
- Pouch Packaging Machine (Karlville) Operator experience, or other Packaging / Print machinery.
- Ideally Food / FMCG sustainable Packaging manufacturing / machining experience.
- Knowledge of various Packaging formats & Packaging production techniques.
- Able to set Packaging machinery to produce varying size & varying specifications of end products.
- Able to carry out basic machinery fault finding duties would be beneficial but not a must have skill.
- Happy to work rotating shifts, working 6am to 2pm & 2pm to 10pm (12-8pm Fridays) Monday to Friday.
- The client will also consider those without Pouch packaging experience, if they have operated other Packaging Machinery such as; Bagging Machines, Filling Machines, Labelling Machines, Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) Machines, Tray Sealing Machines, Stick Packaging Machines, Sachet Packaging Machines, Thermoforming Machines & Heat Sealing Machines.
