REED HR NI are currently recruiting for an HR Advisor for our client based in Mid Ulster. This is a Fixed Term Contract opportunity, commencing June 2025 for a period of 12 months. My client is seeking a Human Resource Advisor to join their team for a 12-month maternity cover position. In this role, you will provide expert HR support, contribute to strategic initiatives, and ensure compliance with employment laws. You will also drive recruitment, training, and employee development while fostering a positive workplace culture. What You’ll Be Doing
- HR Operations & Compliance
- Provide HR support and advice across the organisation in Northern Ireland (NI) and the Republic of Ireland (ROI)
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies
- Manage employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Develop job descriptions, prepare advertisements, and engage with recruitment agencies when needed
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including shortlisting, interviewing, and offer creation
- Administer onboarding processes and new starter inductions
- Employee Development & Performance
- Assist line managers in timely probation period reviews
- Promote learning and development initiatives and coordinate training schedules
- Employee Engagement & Relations
- Provide guidance on HR and employment law matters
- Organise social events and employee engagement activities
- Support disciplinary and grievance procedures, ensuring compliance
- Monitor and manage employee absenteeism
Education & Experience
- 2+ years’ HR experience.
- GCSEs (including English & Maths) or equivalent.
- CIPD OR part-qualified or working towards certification
- Knowledge of NI and ROI employment law, recruitment, and training best practices
Skills & Attributes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience handling staff queries and supporting HR projects
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
Additional Information
- Occasional travel to our sister site in NI and / or ROI depots may be required
- Salary > £35,000 pa doe
