A fast-growing consultancy specialising in innovation tax incentives is seeking a Software R&D Tax Consultant to join its dynamic team. Since launching in 2020, the firm has scaled rapidly, growing from a founding team to nearly 100 professionals in under five years. With further global expansion underway, this role comes at a pivotal moment in the company’s journey.

Role Summary

This position sits within the R&D consulting team, focusing on supporting software sector clients with their R&D tax relief claims. The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio and play a key role in delivering robust technical and financial submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver a portfolio of software-focused R&D tax claims
• Prepare clear, accurate technical narratives and financial analyses
• Maintain excellent client service standards throughout the claim process
• Collaborate closely with commercial and delivery teams
• Operate independently, managing workload and deadlines effectively
• Contribute technical knowledge and stay curious about new innovations

Requirements

Essential:

• Experience in R&D tax relief delivery
• Strong understanding of software or technology environments
• Ability to work under pressure with high levels of accuracy
• Excellent MS Word and Excel skills
• Self-motivated with strong organisational ability
• Strong collaboration skills and willingness to mentor others

Desirable:

• Postgraduate degree (Masters/PhD/EngD) in Computer Science or a related subject
