Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Hospital Consult Liaison

Description MaineHealth Maine Medical Center is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Physician Assistant to join our team as a Psychiatric Hospital Consultant Professional in Portland, Maine. We are a cohesive team representing many disciplines, including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, Pharmacists, Resident Physicians, and Medical Students. We value teamwork and strive to nurture a supportive environment. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides psychiatric consultation to inpatients at Maine Medical Center. The candidate should be comfortable working with patients with substance use disorders. Responsibilities include face-to-face psychiatric evaluations and medication recommendations to patients on medical/surgical units. Due to the hospital-based setting, the ability to multitask and manage acute clinical scenarios is essential. Schedule: Full time – 32 hours per week, with 4-8 hour shifts including weekends.
