If you have a passion for teaching and want to contribute to high-quality training within our new PCV Driver Training School, this role is perfect for you!
As a PCV Driving Instructor, you will be at the forefront of training new drivers to gain their PCV licence. Your expertise and dedication will play a vital role in ensuring our trainees are well-prepared and equipped to provide safe and efficient passenger transport services.
This role is working Monday to Friday, generally from 7.30am until 3.30pm but may require earlier starts to accommodate DVSA tests.

Your key responsibilities are likely to be:
- Instructing new trainees to DVSA Standards
- Delivering comprehensive training programmes that cover all aspects of PCV driving, including vehicle operation, passenger safety, route planning, and compliance with traffic regulations.
- Creating engaging training materials, conducting assessments and evaluations, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of training activities.
- Managing trainees and enabling them to achieve all aspects of their licence acquisition.
- Putting quality at the forefront of everything you do.
- Utilising a range of teaching methods to suit individual learner preferences.
- Leading group training sessions.

About You:
- Hold a valid PCV driving license with no more than 3 points.
- Have a minimum of 3 years PCV driver experience and at least 1 year experience as a PCV instructor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey knowledge and ensure trainee engagement.
- Stay up to date with the DVSA PCV standards and Department of Transport regulations.
- Ability to adapt training methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
