24-7 Recruitment is currently seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver for a client in Cullompton, Devon. This ongoing role may lead to a temp-to-perm position for the right candidate. We are looking for experienced and reliable drivers who are available for immediate assessment and induction. The role involves delivering chilled goods.

Responsibilities for a HGV Class 1 Driver:

• Safely operate an HGV Class 1 delivery vehicle
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
• Complete necessary paperwork and logbooks accurately
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance

Skills required for a HGV Class 1 Driver:

• Valid driving license with appropriate category for a Class 1 vehicle
• Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with HGV experience
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
• Ability to navigate using GPS or maps to locate delivery addresses
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions
