Mechanical Fitter

A busy manufacturing site in South Ayrshire is seeking a qualified Maintenance Fitter to support ongoing operations. This hands-on role involves maintaining mechanical systems and reducing downtime across a range of heavy industrial equipment.

Key Duties:

• Carry out repairs and routine maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults efficiently.
• Record completed tasks using internal systems.
• Support overhaul work during seasonal shutdowns.
• Contribute to safety, maintenance planning, and improvement initiatives.
• Follow work permit and health & safety procedures at all times.

Shift Pattern:

12-hour rotating shifts: 4 days on, 4 off (days and nights).

What You’ll Need:

• Trade-qualified Fitter with heavy industry experience.
• Solid fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and high safety standards.
• Willingness to work shift patterns including nights.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
