Role purpose As an Area Manager, you will manage the food and beverage operation across an assigned concourse area and manage the team of Concourse Supervisors and Kiosk Staff within the area. The Area manager will be responsible for ensuring all units operate efficiently and to a high standard, delivering excellent customer service by driving team performance to enhance the overall fan experience. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of Concourse Area Supervisors and kiosk staff, ensuring high levels of performance, engagement, and adherence to operational procedures. Assign roles and responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide support where needed. Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and licensing laws. Conduct regular checks to maintain cleanliness and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations across the concourse area. Monitor the service provided by staff, ensuring high standards of customer service, resolving any issues or complaints promptly, and ensuring the overall fan experience is positive. Monitor stock levels to avoid shortages or excess and ensure accurate inventory reporting. Ensure clear communication and collaboration between teams on event days. Supervise the closing down of kiosks, ensuring all procedures are followed, including stock audits, and cleanliness checks. Support the ongoing development of your team by providing training, feedback, and performance reviews. Ensure all team members have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles. Skills And Experience Previous experience in managing or supervising teams in a high-volume role within a fast-paced food & beverage, retail, or event environment (stadium experience is a plus). Strong understanding of food hygiene, health & safety, and licensing regulations. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, specifically on match days. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle customer complaints and operational issues with professionalism and efficiency. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and senior management. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, especially in fast-paced service environments. Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems and stock management software.
