iPeople SC Solutions is currently recruiting for an Adults Social Worker to work for our client based in Yorkshire and the Humber. East Riding Council is looking for a Social Worker with relevant qualifications and experience to deliver high-quality statutory safeguarding duties. You will work under the supervision of experienced Senior Practitioners to undertake safeguarding enquiries on behalf of the Local Authority. Collaboration with agencies such as Health, Police, CQC, and Commissioning will be essential, promoting Making Safeguarding Personal.
Main Duties of the role
- Act as the Inquiry Officer for safeguarding concerns and enquiries requiring Social Work expertise, following policies and procedures.
- Work proactively to resolve, record, and close safeguarding enquiries within the set timescales and team performance standards.
- Identify safeguarding and 'quality of care' issues, liaising with Commissioning Teams and other agencies to ensure appropriate actions are taken to protect individuals.
- Refer issues to relevant agencies (e.g., CQC, NHS, Police) and internal teams promptly to maintain service quality.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with health professionals, providers, voluntary sectors, and referral services to ensure smooth client transitions.
This is a full-time position, working flexibly over 5 days per week (Monday β Friday). Minimum of 2 yearsβ experience as a qualified social worker in Adult Social Care, with Safeguarding experience preferred.
