RATE OF PAY: Β£11.52 per hour and Β£73.61 per night sleep.
NATURE OF THE JOB ROLE: Working as part of a team to assist with a variety of tasks which will support the employer to live an independent personal, social and safe life within his own home. The employer is a 49-year-old Downs Syndrome man who needs full 24/7 support.
MAIN DUTIES
- Personal Duties: Washing, dressing, support and assist with personal hygiene and choice of appropriate clothing. Support with making safe and appropriate choices. Full control of medication. Full support with finances.
- Domestic Duties: Full support with laundry and household duties. Keeping home clean and tidy. Preparing food and drinks. Shopping, menu and making healthy choices.
- Social Duties: These duties may vary from day to day, to include support at college, social clubs, days out.
Any other reasonable duties that may be necessary. Also to cover holidays for other PAs who work on different days.
HOURS OF WORK: 24 hour Shifts Monday-Sunday, for 1 shift per week 09.00 β 23.00 and 07.00 β 09.00 (following morning) Sleep 23.00 β 07.00
QUALIFICATIONS: Up to Level 3 NVQs
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Only applicants who have experience of administering medication and are able to deliver a high level of care will be considered. The applicant needs to be a car driver with the use of the employerβs own vehicle. The applicant will also need to meet the Motability insurance requirements.
