Job Overview
Would you like to work for a charity that cares for hundreds of historic sites across England? We are seeking a Visitor Assistant to join us at Eltham Palace, working 14 hours weekly from April to October, switching to a zero-hour contract from November to March. No prior heritage experience is necessary. We value passion for people and excellent customer service. You will work as part of a team to deliver engaging visitor experiences to diverse audiences.

Your Role
As a Visitor Assistant at Eltham Palace & Gardens, you will ensure visitors have a memorable experience from arrival to departure. Your recommendations may include promoting English Heritage memberships or suggesting on-site activities. You will help maintain accessibility, safety, and site presentation. This role is varied; some days are busy, others quieter, especially in bad weather. Previous experience with the public is beneficial but not required, as full training is provided. You will need to work weekends and Bank Holidays. Further details will be shared during the interview process.
