The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

We are seeking a seasoned HR generalist with strong business acumen to join our team. In this role you will quickly become a trusted advisor and partner to leaders across the business, whilst also having the opportunity to shape and then deliver the people strategy.

This is an important senior position for Hayfin, at a time of pivotal growth after successful completion of a management buyout in 2025. You will be working closely with the Head of HR, leading a small high-calibre HRBP team, and collaborating with Department Heads across the business.

Role Responsibilities
  • HR Business Partnering
  • Act as the primary HR business partner to senior leadership across key business divisions, providing expert guidance on people-related matters that drive business performance.
  • Partner with department heads to understand business objectives and translate them into effective people strategies, workforce planning, and organisational design solutions.
  • Work with teams on annual deliverables to support delivery of 360s, scorecards, talent review, feedback, promotions and compensation.
  • Provide data-driven insights and analytics to inform business decisions, including workforce metrics, retention analysis, and organizational health indicators.
  • Lead on complex employee relations matters, providing expert guidance on performance management, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution.
  • Develop and implement HR initiatives that support business transformation, change management, and capability development across the organisation.
  • Talent Management & Development
    • Partner with leaders to develop future-state plans for their teams, including succession planning and talent acquisition needs.
    • Oversee performance management processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Leadership Support & Advisory
    • Serve as a member of the HR leadership team, providing strategic counsel and operational support on all people matters: both within the HR team, and cross-functional project teams.
    • Act as a custodian of Hayfin's culture. Ensure that all people decisions include feedback on personal behaviour as a key driver of commercial performance.
    Requirements
    • Experience
    • 10+ years of HR experience with at least 5 years in a senior business partnering role.
    • Strong project management capabilities with experience managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at all organisational levels.
    • Expert-level knowledge of HR best practices across the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment through to exit.
    • Strong knowledge of employment law, regulatory requirements, and compliance frameworks.
    • Able to demonstrate the ability to be a strategic advisor, but also to deliver tangible outcomes to support their business teams' success.
    • Proven track record of leading complex organizational change initiatives and business transformation projects.
    • Advanced analytical skills with experience using HR metrics and data to drive business decisions and demonstrate ROI.
