The Department of State Hospitals is seeking compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Technicians (Safety) to join our team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in promoting wellness, recovery, and psychiatric rehabilitation for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide behavioral and psychiatric nursing care under general supervision.
  • Implement principles of wellness and recovery in patient care.
  • Maintain safety and custody responsibilities as required.
  • Facilitate patient rehabilitation through knowledge, attitude, and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPTE).
  • Applicants within four months of completing a BVNPTE-accredited Psychiatric Technician program may apply but must obtain licensure prior to appointment.
