Nexgen is expanding its Vehicle Fleet team, which manages approximately 350 vehicles for staff across the UK. This role involves supporting all administration and coordination activities and serving as a key interface between the Head Office and Operational Teams to ensure vehicle availability, proper driver setup, and compliance. No prior fleet experience is required, as full training will be provided. However, you should possess excellent administration and coordination skills, be a good communicator, and be proficient with basic IT/software. You must hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and set up new drivers on the vehicle management system
- Ensure vehicles are in correct and safe working order
- Order and prepare vehicles for new contract start dates
- Liaise with vehicle mechanics
- Arrange vehicle recovery
- Ensure all fleet vehicles adhere to health and safety policies
- Carry out accident reporting processes
- Ensure all fuel cards are up to date and active
- Monitor vehicles entering the London congestion charge regularly
- Liaise with external suppliers and obtain quotes
- Handle vehicle accident claims and negotiate with insurers as necessary
- Perform handovers and collections from existing drivers/teams
- Monitor the Group Incident Database and liaise with insurers
- Update telematics systems and produce utilization reports weekly/monthly
- Oversee maintenance schedules and issue purchase orders
