We are seeking creative individuals to provide one-to-one support within a school in Newport. Many of the pupils have additional difficulties such as physical and/or sensory impairment or autistic spectrum disorder.

As an ALN Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will provide support on a 1:1 basis, helping the pupil access the curriculum at an appropriate level for their specific needs. This role is suited for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated, caring, and able to nurture children and adults to achieve their potential.

You will have:

  • A minimum of 3 months of child-based experience or a background in the care sector
  • A child and adult DBS check – or be willing to undertake one via New Directions
  • A willingness to complete mandatory training when required
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term
