Sheffield | Full-time, Permanent | Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days WFH)

We’re on a mission to support schools and teachers with innovative, reliable solutions – and we’re looking for a skilled Payroll Support Specialist to join our Customer Operations team in Sheffield. If you’re a payroll pro who thrives on solving problems, delivering exceptional customer service, and wants to make an impact in education – this could be the role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Respond to payroll queries across multiple channels with professionalism and accuracy
  • Handle complex queries related to tax, pensions, NI, statutory leave, and deductions
  • Support year-end processes (P60s, P11Ds), and validate Year-To-Date data
  • Be a go-to technical expert on payroll and statutory requirements in the education sector
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver seamless support
  • Coach colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery
  • Drive excellence in customer experience, aligned with KPIs and payroll compliance

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • 3+ years’ payroll experience (education sector a bonus!)
  • Preferably a professional payroll qualification (CIPP or equivalent)
  • Solid understanding of statutory deductions and payroll legislation
  • Confident communicator and natural problem-solver
  • Skilled in handling software systems and data validation
  • Calm under pressure, helpful, and ready to go the extra mile
  • GCSEs A*-C in Maths and English + A-levels preferred
