Kier Group are looking for an MEP Design Manager to join a major project at HMP Channings Wood in Newton Abbot. The role will initially focus on MEP Design delivery on this major project but may also be utilised across the wider region.
Location: Newton Abbot, South Devon.
Contract: Full time, Permanent. Flexible working arrangements available.
What will you be responsible for?
- Supporting profitable tender generation and submission, enhancing order pipeline and conversion to market share, revenue, and profit.
- Providing MEP design solutions that exceed customer requirements, identify/manage risks, and seek value engineering opportunities to maximise gross profit.
- Implementing Kier Group policies (SHE, risk management, solution design) and promote the company's values to align with customer expectations.
- Oversee design activities, collaborate with project management and construction teams, and support a workplace culture focused on employee wellbeing and career development.
What are we looking for?
- Design Management experience within a Contracting or Consultancy environment.
- Exposure to managing MEP Design.
- Exposure to a range of contract types, JCT, NEC etc.
- The ability to work as part of a collaborative team across a range of projects.
