An opportunity has arisen for a seasonal grain store operative to join our busy team during the harvesting months based near Sparkford, Somerset. The store has the capacity to handle 120t an hour and hold upwards of 10,000t storage.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, enjoys multitasking and has a full driving license. This can be a physically demanding role which includes working at height. The role requires a flexible approach to working hours during peak times so overtime will be required to allow us to meet the demands of our farming enterprise and customers.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:- Assist in the efficient and effective operation of the site to enable the safe storage, testing and export of grain (wheat, barley, beans & sunflowers).
- Ensure general housekeeping and hygiene of the site/buildings is maintained and within capability, non-technical general maintenance in and around site.
- Ability to work effectively, independently and as part of a team.
- Able to cope under pressure and work to deadlines.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- IT literate with some experience of using Blackcat software is desirable.
Job Type: Seasonal (July - October)
Remuneration: Good hourly rates of pay depending on experience.
Accommodation: Onsite accommodation is available.
A Permanent position could be available to the right candidate.
