Seasonal Beach Patrol Officer Vacancy – Blackpool

We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join the Council’s Beach Patrol team in Blackpool for the 2025 summer season.

This is a seasonal position primarily for July and August, with potential additional work in June and September.

You must be confident in your abilities and possess an up-to-date RLSS National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification or be willing to attend an RLSS NVBLQ course that we will run in early summer.

Interviews & Assessments

1. Physical Assessment – Incident response exercise
2. Interviews will start at 10am, followed by a run and incident response exercise at the Beach Patrol Headquarters

Please bring the following to your assessment:

• Sports attire suitable for swimming and running
• Passport, Driving Licence, proof of current address, and two references

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. This position is subject to satisfactory references covering at least two years, a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, medical clearance, proof of essential qualifications, and proof of Right to Work in the UK, in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.
