Hod Carrier

We require an experienced hod-carrier / brickies labourer to work alongside bricklayers or preferably a 2&1 gang at Reading University.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Hod Carrier within the brickwork industry.
• Background knowledge of bricklaying processes and safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a construction environment in Berkshire.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to handle manual work consistently.
• Own PPE and relevant safety equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying bricks, mortar, and other materials to bricklayers on-site using a Hod.
• Assisting with preparation and organisation of materials prior to commencement of work.
• Ensuring the safe handling and transportation of building materials according to safety standards.
• Supporting bricklayers in their work as required for smooth workflow.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment around the site.
