About the role Quality Engineering is a principle-driven ethos that embraces quality at every stage. Senior Quality Engineering Managers must have a deep understanding and be able to implement, coach, mentor, and champion the Roq values and quality engineering principles in all aspects of their role. Be an advocate and champion for, and coach others in the ways of working within the full Roq QE Ecosystem and our QE Principles Proactively look to drive the growth of Roq by sharing updates and positive Client activities internally and externally, encouraging and helping team members to participate Perform in-depth analysis on systems or system components, where required Proactively lead discussions with IT Leadership, key Business stakeholders, Business Analysts, test engineers, technical resources and Subject Matter Experts to ensure test-ware and coverage are appropriate Design and create test cases, and test data, tracking test cases against requirements, peer review/feedback for other team members, where required Facilitate, manage and oversee the design, build and maintenance of automated test solutions using standard industry tooling Proactively work with Marketing and Sales departments, shaping, from a Delivery perspective, Client workshops, RFPs and discovery sessions Understand and proactively champion Roq bespoke automation accelerators Manage and work collaboratively across diverse client teams in the execution of all appropriate testing levels Manage, review, create and maintain detailed test execution schedules aligned with test estimates When required, carry out structured test execution across test levels, including functional automation, exploratory and static testing Accountability and responsibility for the accurate recording of test results and collation of the appropriate test evidence Raise, triage, manage and re-test defects Any other duties deemed necessary by the company Knowledge & soft skills – An in-depth knowledge of various development methodologies (Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid) An understanding of object-oriented programming skills (Java or C#) A good understanding of the application of test automation frameworks In-depth experience of working in Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) environments A good understanding of the test automation tools market (as well as supporting tools) and their appropriate?usage A good understanding of approaches to test automation Proactively look to coach and mentor team members?and anyone wishing to upskill Roq QE Principles A Roq Senior Quality Engineering Manager is a champion for the Roq QE Ecosystem and QE Principles: MANAGEMENT Proactively providing accurate visibility and timely updates of delivery progress and day-to-day testing activities to relevant teams and stakeholders, across multiple projects and programmes of work AUTOMATION-FIRST Manage the creation, maintenance and/or extension of test automation frameworks and be able to identify opportunities to implement automation where appropriate. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT Identify, advocate for, and implement impactful change and best practice, ensuring that the changes are manageable, measurable, and leave a positive legacy. 360 FEEDBACK The facilitation and provision of Facilitate open and honest feedback, to identify issues as early as possible and implement effective remedial actions where appropriate. COACHING Proactively assess, facilitate, capture and monitor the coaching and development needs of clients and peers, to elevate capabilities and develop teams at a pace suited to their needs.
