Belfast City Council are seeking two reliable and experienced HGV/LGV drivers to join their team at the Duncrue Industrial complex, Belfast. This is a full-time temporary position for initially 3 months with the possibility of an extension based on job performance. The hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 3.30pm and Friday 7.30am.
The hourly rate of pay will be £13.91.
Key responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:
- Driving council vehicles in a safe and responsible manner
- Assisting with the collection of household waste
- Loading vehicles and supervising operatives
- Carrying out street cleaning duties
- Performing maintenance tasks such as clearing gutters and drains
- Engaging with members of the council, representing the Council
