The Waste Service Team, working with our service partner Serco from our two operational depots in Sudbury and Stowmarket, run 26 frontline collection rounds every day, providing our residents and businesses with a range of waste and recycling services: making over 5 million collections in a year and handling and transporting over 65,000 tonnes of waste and recycling.
This is a great opportunity to join Serco at the Stowmarket Depot. As an HGV Refuse and Recycling Driver/Loader in our Suffolk team, you will provide a complete waste and recycling service on behalf of the residents and community in Stowmarket. With a professional, dedicated, and friendly team of Refuse Collection staff, we ensure that streets, homes and businesses are kept clean, safe and tidy, whilst providing the very best levels of customer service to all members of the community that we serve.
You will set off on a pre-planned route as the driver with your team of Loaders collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties. You will be the public face of Serco’s Environmental Services team in the community. Before setting out on your rounds, you will ensure that your vehicle safety checks are completed and that your truck is clean and work ready.
