A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our well established clients as a Conveyancing Assistant. The primary role is to provide support to the line manager, to enable the team to operate at optimum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal effectively with clients and third-parties over the telephone, and occasionally face to face, in order to provide advice and assistance.
- Acting as the first point of contact for clients, estate agents, lenders, and other parties, providing updates and answering queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Assisting with preparation of legal documents, including drafting initial contract packs, transfer deeds, and stamp duty land tax.
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to fee earners, including diary management, arranging appointments, and handling correspondence.
- Liaising with third parties such as local authorities, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors.
- Arranging for the exchange of contracts and completion.
- Assisting with preparing completion statements and invoices.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 1 year previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant or in a similar administrative role within a residential property team is essential.
- Familiarity with the conveyancing process from instruction to post-completion.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and client-focused approach.
- Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
