The Opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing company committed to the delivery of cutting-edge solutions to help both individuals and organizations - providing secure, sustainable, and compliant IT solutions to businesses across the UK, Ireland, and Europe. Due to a period of significant growth, a great new role has come up as a Management Accountant!

This position will look after day-to-day management, preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and the development and maintenance of financial controls. Moreover, the successful applicant will play a key role in advising senior leadership on any financial decisions providing insight on growth and profitability for the business.

Role

  • Manage core financial operations, including the general ledger, fixed assets, and inter company transactions.
  • Enhance financial systems and controls, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all processes.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and statutory accounts, to support strategic planning.
  • Lead payroll and tax compliance, overseeing payroll coordination with third parties and managing submissions for VAT, Corporation Tax, and Intrastat (ROI & UK).
  • Coordinate statutory reporting, ensuring timely submissions to regulatory bodies such as Companies House, the Department of Finance, and The Pensions Regulator.
  • Support month-end and year-end close, audit processes, and internal reporting to ensure timely and accurate financial outcomes.
  • Financial analysis providing insights, advising senior leadership on financial decisions that drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with the Group Financial Controller, contributing to business strategy, financial projects, and ongoing compliance initiatives.

Criteria

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with a year of relevant experience, preferably within industry.
  • Experience with accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Packages (i.e. Word, Excel).
