Finance Manager (Interim)
Location: Central London (hybrid working)
Initial 6-month contract with potential to extend or become permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a high-profile scale-up tech company based in Central London. The company is experiencing significant growth, making this an ideal time to join their dynamic finance team.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the month-end process to ensure it is accurate, timely, and compliant, as well as preparing monthly financial reports with insightful commentary. You will work closely with FP&A to analyze variances between actuals and budget. In addition, you will lead and support the accounts payable team, ensuring suppliers are paid on time, and you will take ownership of VAT and annual Corporation Tax returns.
A key part of your role will involve driving continuous improvement in all transactional and key finance processes. You will also collaborate with the business to understand new product offerings, assessing their accounting and financial implications. Given the nature of this position, you will also handle significant ad hoc responsibilities and provide support to the Financial Controller as needed.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a proven track record of managing and enhancing the month-end process. You should thrive in a fast-paced scale-up environment and have demonstrable experience in building and improving processes. Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting systems are essential for success in this role (preferably NetSuite).
