Pertemps are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to support Plymouth City Council's Waste and Recycling Department during the busy summer season.
About the Role: You will be responsible for operating a refuse collection vehicle, providing essential waste services across the Plymouth area. This is a temporary, full-time role running from July through to October 2025, based at a centrally located depot with on-site parking, canteen, and shower facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving a Class 2 refuse vehicle on scheduled routes
- Supporting waste collection teams across the city
- Ensuring high standards of customer service and safety at all times
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with CPC and Digi Tacho
- Previous experience driving HGV vehicles
- Good knowledge of the Plymouth area
- Strong communication skills and a flexible approach to work
- Commitment to the full working schedule (Mon-Thurs, 06:30AM-16:15PM)
Additional Information:
- All successful applicants must attend a mandatory induction and driving assessment
- Start dates will be confirmed following successful completion of the assessment
