Gap personnel who operate as an Employment Business are recruiting Timber yard operatives for our client based in East Harling NR16, a manufacturer of wooden and timber framing, supplying the housing and construction sector.
Temporary to Permanent Position, own transport or able to commute to site, as punctuality and attendance is very important. You will be helping to build and finish wooden structures and be working in the yard and warehouse on site, so flexibility will be needed. The company is looking to put candidates that show willingness.
Pay rate: £12.40 per hour. Overtime Pay Rate: £16.53 Per Hour
Shifts: Monday to Friday, Hours: 07:30 – 17:00
Job Duties:
- Cutting wood and timber, assembling timber frames
- Loading and feeding machinery
- Operating air powered tools (i.e., such as nail guns)
- Compiling orders, customer service
- Housekeeping, stock taking and various duties within the site
- Moving pallet-packed materials around the site or storage facility
Candidate must be:
- Fit and active
- Honest, reliable, trustworthy and have a good work ethic

It would be beneficial but not essential to the role to be a hands-on person, happy to use a variety of tools. Manual handling is needed daily. Have basic numeracy and English literacy skills.
