Core ResponsibilitiesAs a key member of the team, you will be responsible for:
- End-to-End Caseload Management: Taking ownership of a diverse residential caseload, including freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity – from the initial instruction right through to post-completion.
- Exceptional Client Service: Being the main point of contact for clients, estate agents, lenders, and all other parties. Clear, proactive, and empathetic communication is crucial to ensuring a smooth process for everyone involved.
- Applying Your Legal Expertise: Conducting thorough due diligence, interpreting search results, flagging potential risks, and providing expert, practical advice to clients. You will be drafting and reviewing legal documents with precision and efficiency.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving complex legal issues head-on. We are looking for someone with sound judgment and commercial awareness to navigate any challenges that arise.
- Ensuring Compliance: Keeping everything strictly in line with SRA regulations, CQS standards, and internal procedures. Compliance is non-negotiable.
- Mastering Your Time: Effectively managing your own workload, prioritising tasks, and consistently hitting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Tech Savvy: Making the most of the firm’s modern case management system and other software to efficiently manage your cases and communicate effectively.
- A minimum of 2 years’ demonstrable experience as a Conveyancer, specifically managing your own full caseload from instruction to completion.
- A proven ability to independently handle a mixed caseload of residential property transactions.
- In-depth knowledge of conveyancing law, practice, and procedures.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using conveyancing case management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- The ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively in a remote setting.
- A dedicated home office setup with reliable internet connectivity.
- A qualification as a Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor, or CILEx Conveyancing Practitioner is desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience working in a remote role.
