Industrious Recruitment are seeking a Design and Product Development Administrator, based in Lytham St Anne's. All office based.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate a design brief and product development requests to sourcing colleagues.
  • Arrange time critical samples and complete all associated product administration on in house data.
  • Input all relevant data to customer portals to ensure key accounts stay updated with progress and in line with critical path requirements.
  • Request costings in line with approved designs from internal and external suppliers to input into costing administration.
  • Liaise with Design manager to update on sample progress to ensure product details and final costs meet all design and target cost expectations.
  • Build a relationship with the wider supply chain to maintain positive communication and product development opportunities.
  • Analyse the competitor landscape and draft regular comp shop information to share with the sales and design teams.
  • Experience of design BOMS to input into the relevant portals.
  • Confirm final approved sample detail to the supply chain to raise PO with accounts.
  • Compile reports for key customer accounts to share with sales and design teams to support relevant new product development plans.
  • Establish a clear understanding of all technical and audit criteria to ensure samples are made in line with customer expectations and standards.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Qualifications in Mathematics and English.
  • Proven experience in a Design and Product Development Administrator or similar role.
  • MS office competency.
  • Able to balance multiple tasks, plan workload and provide accurate up to date master data.
  • Proactive and organised with administrative experience in a similar or related sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and communicate significant amounts of information across multiple projects with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written – Chinese would be ideal but not essential.
  • Have manufacturing knowledge ideally across homewares and lifestyle product category.
  • A passion for creativity with attention to detail.
