MCS Group is proud to be working with a leading local M&E contractor, to recruit a HSEQ Advisor to join their team on a permanent contract. Salary circa 40-45K + brand new van (some movement on this for the right candidate).

Flexi-time, 1 day hybrid working. Choice of office in Belfast & Tyrone. Chance to shape your own role, and look after your own diary. Travel will be predominantly to sites across NI, with very little travel to UK Mainland.

The HSEQ Officer will support the development of a strategy to shape the HSEQ and Continuous Improvement functions for the company. Develop a strong working relationship with all levels of employees and promote a culture of engagement, understanding and compliance for all HSEQ policies and procedures. Develop further HSEQ initiatives and continual improvements.

Complete compliant management system audits and inspections and manage a programme of corrective/preventative actions for continuous improvement, ensuring the highest standards in technical competence and safe working practices. Ensure the preparation of the Contract Health and Safety Plans. Perform site visits to ensure all necessary safety equipment/documentation is available.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years' experience in operational management or safety, health, and environment leadership
  • NEBOSH general certification
  • Previous experience of producing internal audits to comply with ISO 45001
