We have an exciting role for a CNC Punch Technician to join our talented team and play a key role in achieving our strategic goals. This is a permanent role with long term potential to develop and grow along with a young, rapidly expanding, ambitious company.

Contract Type: Full Time / Permanent
Working Hours: 40hrs / week - Weekly Night Shift Thursday, Friday and Saturday
Salary: Competitive, Negotiable depending on experience

The ideal candidate will have experience operating Trumpf punch machines, ensuring high-quality production of metal parts, components, and products. The operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the punch press equipment, while adhering to safety standards, quality guidelines, and production schedules.
- Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate Trumpf punch machines according to specifications, ensuring proper alignment, tooling, and machine settings for efficient production.
- Material Handling: Load raw material (typically sheet metal) into the punch press and ensure correct feeding of materials during the operation.
- Quality Control: Inspect punched parts for accuracy, dimensions, and surface quality using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshoot issues with the Trumpf punch machines to minimise downtime.
- Production Efficiency: Monitor the production process to ensure it stays on schedule, adjusting machine settings and tooling as needed for optimal efficiency.
- Documentation: Complete production logs, quality checklists, and machine maintenance records as required.
- Tooling Management: Change and maintain punch tools, dies, and other components to ensure smooth operation and consistent product quality.
Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience operating Trumpf punch presses or similar CNC punch machines in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, machine setup, and operation for quality checks. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to solve mechanical issues on the fly. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
