Our Client: We are delighted to be partnered with this well-established, food manufacturing business, operating throughout the UK. They supply products to most major supermarkets, taking pride in ensuring their products exceed industry standards, time after time.

Our client is now recruiting for a H&S Manager to join their team on a 12 month FTC.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in line with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits across the manufacturing site, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
  • Lead health and safety training initiatives to ensure that employees are informed about workplace safety, emergency protocols, and safe work practices.
  • Monitor and report on health and safety performance, ensuring the business meets both internal and external safety standards.
  • Ensure the workplace remains compliant with all relevant local and national safety regulations.
  • Investigate and report on accidents, near-misses, and safety-related incidents, and ensure corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to promote a safety-first culture and improve overall site safety.
  • Maintain and manage health and safety documentation, including reports, safety plans, and records of safety training and inspections.
  • Keep up-to-date on safety trends and regulations in the food manufacturing industry to ensure the business remains proactive in its approach to workplace safety.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent Health and Safety certification
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an H&S role within food manufacturing in the UK
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess risks and implement safety procedures.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach to solving health and safety challenges.
  • Passionate and engaging
