Pertemps Education is working in partnership with a primary school in Wembley to recruit a Site Manager for a September 2025 start. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and proactive professional to take on a key role in maintaining and developing the school's site and facilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the school premises are safe, secure, clean, and well maintained, contributing to a positive and productive learning environment for pupils and staff.
Location: Wembley
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time, 36 hours per Week
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
About the Role:
- Maintain the general school premises, furniture and fittings, and report any issues to School Business Manager
- Carry out porterage duties, such as moving furniture and equipment around the school
- Carry out small repairs and DIY projects
- Arrange larger repairs and obtain quotes from contractors
- Advise on site development projects and make recommendations on site use
- To continually look at ways of energy savings to ensure the building operates effectively and efficiently and promote recycling measures in the school.
- Support School Business Manager with performance management objectives and training for caretaker
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience in a school environment (essential)
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance
- Be practical, hands-on, and capable of carrying out minor repairs and maintenance
- Be reliable, proactive, and take pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Be organised and able to manage time and priorities effectively
- Possess good communication skills and be confident liaising with external contractors and school staff
- Be flexible and committed to the ethos of the school community
