Bournemouth Avionics Ltd is a family-run business based at Solent Airport, Lee-On-The-Solent. We are a CAA PART CAO approved maintenance organisation providing independent avionics services to the general aviation sector. Our work is focused on fixed-wing aircraft, and we specialise in the installation, maintenance, modification, and repair of avionics systems—working with leading brands such as Garmin, Avidyne, Trig, and more.
We’re currently seeking a full-time Avionics Technician to join our team. The primary focus of this role is avionics installations, alongside other general avionics work such as system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, and test avionics systems and equipment, including Garmin, Avidyne, and Trig products
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in avionics systems across a variety of general aviation aircraft
- Assist with routine maintenance, inspections, and system modifications as required
- Maintain accurate records in line with regulatory standards
- Work collaboratively in a small, skilled team environment
- Experience with avionics systems, particularly installation work
- Strong understanding of wiring diagrams and aircraft electrical systems
- Solid diagnostic and repair skills
- Familiarity with general aviation fixed-wing aircraft
- Ability to work well as part of a team and take initiative
- A practical, hands-on approach with attention to detail and quality
