Solutions Driven, on behalf of their client, are looking for a Business Unit Manager that will lead the Calibration Services business based in the East Midlands. This role involves full accountability for operational performance, P&L management, health & safety, team leadership, and commercial growth. The role sits at the heart of the calibration business and is critical in ensuring both UKAS compliance and business expansion. Itβs ideal for someone with both technical depth in calibration services and strong commercial and leadership capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full P&L ownership for the calibration division
- Operational leadership of the site
- Oversight of all H&S compliance for staff and contractors
- Driving business development and commercial growth
- Maintaining UKAS accreditation and ISO/IEC 17025 standards

Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven leadership experience in a UKAS-accredited calibration lab
- Strong technical knowledge across calibration parameters (e.g. pressure, torque, temperature, mass)
- Excellent understanding of lab-based health and safety standards
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team management skills
Desirable:
- Degree (or equivalent) in engineering, metrology, or a related discipline
- Background in business development or commercial client management
- P&L and budget management experience
