We’re looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 driver to join our team as a refuse truck driver in the Leicestershire area. In this role, you’ll be working Tuesday to Friday, completing local waste and recycling collections. You’ll drive your crew through designated residential routes, helping to collect general waste bins and recycling boxes that keep the community clean and sustainable.
This is a hands-on role that requires reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to support the crew with occasional manual work. Experience with rear-steer vehicles is a plus, though not essential.
Duration: Immediate starts available following induction and driving assessment. Ongoing and regular work available weekly.
Contract Type: Temporary
Hourly Rate: Pay rate for this job is £14.71 per hour. You will accrue up to 28 days holiday per year pro rata.
Working Hours: Enjoy a 3-day weekend with this Tuesday to Friday schedule. Shifts start at 05:45am, with an average of 37 hours per week.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year’s HGV Class 2 driving experience
- Full UK Driving Licence with Cat C entitlement
- Valid CPC card
- Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 6 penalty points (no DD/DR/IN codes)
- Ability to provide 2 years’ references
