AC Automation (UK) Ltd, based in Carrickfergus, has over 30 years of experience specializing in power generation solutions.

AC Automation is seeking a talented and motivated Junior PLC SCADA Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in programming, configuring, and managing PLC and SCADA systems, as well as smart network configurations. This is a full-time office/on-site role in Belfast and Carrickfergus.

Key Responsibilities
  • PLC programming for Allen Bradley and/or Siemens systems
  • SCADA programming and network interfacing
  • Configuration and management of smart networks and IT systems
  • Integration of Ethernet/fibre network engineering
Essential Criteria
  • Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proficiency in PLC programming
  • Strong logical problem-solving skills
  • Full driver's license
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience with SCADA programming
  • Knowledge of Ethernet and fibre network engineering
  • Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs
  • Background in electrical engineering
  • Professional membership of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)
