We are delighted to be supporting a growing business based just west of Cambridge as they seek to recruit a Payroll Assistant to join their team. Within this role, you will report into the Finance Director. Due to the nature of the organisation and the duties of this position, this role will be based mostly in the office, with a day per week of home working permitted.
As the incoming Payroll Assistant, you will be tasked with the following duties, including but not limited to:
- Preparing weekly and monthly payroll information
- Dealing with any pay related queries
- Updating payroll information as per contractual changes
- Processing timesheet information
- Additional ad hoc duties as required
As the successful applicant, you will have previous experience working in a similar Payroll role with good knowledge and understanding of Payroll procedures. You will also have excellent communication skills on both a written and verbal level and a strong attention to detail. Other attributes you will need within this position include:
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy
- Tactful approach to work given the sensitive information you will be dealing with
