  • Decide whether repairs can be done in-press or need toolroom work.
  • Liaise with press ops, maintenance, and team leaders for smooth workflow.
  • Complete accurate and detailed work reports after each task.

Toolmaker desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience working within a similar role (tooling Engineer, Machinist etc).
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and press tool fault find.
  • Time served, or a manufacturing/mechanical engineering education.
