The position of Class 1 Night Trunk Driver involves trunking from Highbridge to Birmingham and reloading back to Highbridge. You may also be required to cover internal trunking. Responsibilities include loading/unloading of the vehicle, ensuring load security, completing daily vehicle checks on your company phone, working closely with the network hubs, keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress, and managing our customer’s expectations. Attendance at regular training sessions is also required.

Essential skills required for Class 1 Night Trunk Driver:

  • Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of curtain-side trailers is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite, and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated due to the nature of the role.
