Duration: Ongoing Contract (6+ months temp to perm)
Shifts: Days, 7am-4pm Mon to Thurs, 7am-1pm Fri
Rates: £17.17 (PAYE) or £22.58 Umbrella (whilst temping)
We are currently recruiting for a number of Sub Assembly Fitters to build transformer assemblies for ongoing contracts based in Loughborough, Leicestershire. This involves reading and understanding engineering drawings, working to process control plans, fitting, crimping, and some minor electrical testing.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Building of core & coils within the Transformer Assembly section.
- Transposing taps on coil windings.
- Preparing, crimping & connecting, and routing of cables.
- Parallel and pre-tank ratio checks.
- Standing/upending, plating up & processing of all coil windings.
- Movement of materials & parts between areas, including oven process.
- Maintain high level of cleanliness and housekeeping throughout the Production facility.
- Operation of overhead cranes, ride on pallet truck, and MEWPs.

- Good interpersonal & communication skills.

- Flexible approach (shift work may apply, including nights).
- Understanding & working to engineering drawings/specifications.
- Good understanding of quality and inspection standards.
