Responsible for installing, operating, and maintaining all heating, ventilation, and cooling systems in the hospital.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper temperatures and ventilation throughout the hospital.
  • Maintain all control systems (electric and pneumatic) for AHU and chillers.
  • Ensure all medical gases are maintained at proper pressures.
  • Test heating and cooling water and add chemicals as needed.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to keep all equipment operational.
  • Repair any equipment that is malfunctioning.
  • Install new equipment, including ductwork and piping for medical gases.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Specifications:

  • Vocational/technical training and a minimum of five years of relevant experience or equivalent are required.
  • RI Refrigeration License is also required.
