Our client based in Brigg, Lincolnshire is a well-established business that provides packaging solutions into the healthcare sector. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team as soon as possible! This is a permanent opportunity, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern of 2 days, followed by 2 nights (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am), with average weekly contractual hours of 42 per week.
The purpose of the role is to ensure the reliable and safe operation of all plant equipment and services by carrying out effective maintenance, repairs, and improvements. The Maintenance Technician will play a key role in minimising downtime, supporting production efficiency, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
Duties of the role include:
- Work on process operations to repair breakdown of electrical and mechanical areas as safely and quickly as possible
- Work with Quality Technicians to ensure repairs leave machine "process-capable" i.e. able to produce product within specification. Issue process disturbance warnings where applicable
- Carry out ancillary activities to build/repair machinery/facilities i.e. welding, cutting, grinding, wiring
- Carry out preventative maintenance as directed
- Carry out checks/service equipment/facilities to meet legislative requirements as directed
- Work with Production Operators to improve process
- Keep accurate records
- Promote safe behaviour and safe systems of work
- Other projects as assigned
