We are looking to recruit highly motivated and performing individuals to join Ardagh Metal Packaging in an exciting new role as part of our new shift structure and become part of the Production team at our Deeside Plant End manufacturing facility. Reporting to a Shift Team Leader, you will work as part of a shift-based team with the aim of running production machinery to help achieve all our Plant major KPIs:
- Health and Safety
- Sustainability
- Quality
- Efficiency
- Spoilage
- Cost
Your primary role as a Process Technician is to ensure the Safety, Quality and Quantity of the production process. You will work as part of a production team including other Process Technicians, Production Technicians and a Technical team.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring there is adequate monitoring of the production process
- Ensuring the optimum efficiency and continuation of the production process
- Ensuring all process controls are monitored and correct
- Ensuring all Quality Assurance checks are completed
- Troubleshooting and problem solving
- Working to Company/Plant Standard Operating Procedures
Requirements & Experience:
- Ability to demonstrate safe working practices
- Computer Skills as role requires ability to input data across several different computer systems
- Able to work well and effectively in a team
- Good communicator to all levels
- A willingness to extend your range of required skills
- A willingness to support and develop others
- Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable
- Experience within a fast speed, high volume manufacturing environment is desirable
- Experience in 5s and Lean manufacturing is desirable
Education:
- 3 GCSE's or equivalent including Maths and English at grade C equivalent or above.
- BTEC/NVQ - Level 2 or above in Engineering/ manufacturing or equivalent, qualification and/or experience.
- Languages - Fluent in written and spoken English
Working Pattern:
4 x 12hours shifts: 2 days 2 nights / 4 off. Fixed rota with 5 x 18 day holiday breaks per annum.
Package:
£40,000 per annum. Individual Private health care. KPI bonus Scheme. Company Pension Scheme. Final 10 open positions available with a 1st September 2025 start date.
