Location East London Appointment Type Permanent Department Academic Standards & Quality Full-Time/Part-Time Full-time Hours 40 Entity GBS UK Ref No 4103 Main Responsibilities To help ensure that the policies, procedures and systems of partner awarding bodies are fully and consistently implemented and monitored across programmes delivered by GBS. To contribute to the maintenance, review and updating of GBS academic policies and procedures. To write quality monitoring and quality enhancements reports, as required. To ensure quality assurance and enhancement at GBS supports a cycle of continuous improvement, leading the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of enhancements. To write high quality reports using quantitative and qualitative data for internal and external audiences, as required. To co-ordinate and undertake internal quality audit tasks as appropriate to the needs of the GBS and demands of awarding bodies/partner organisations. To support GBS’s student-facing processes, as required, ensuring timely responses and satisfactory outcomes. To act as secretary, as required, to GBS boards and committees. To work with and complete tasks set by the Associate Director and/or Academic Quality Manager. Take on special projects as required and related to the role of Academic Quality Officer. To work efficiently, accurately and with high level of attention to detail The Academic Quality Officer formally reports to the Associate Director of Academic Standards and Quality and will be allocated tasks and responsibilities by the Associate Director and/or Academic Quality Managers. Liaises with Deans, Associate Dean(s), Student Success Tutor(s), Programme Leaders, teaching staff and professional services staff, as appropriate, and under the guidance of Academic Quality Managers. Requirements Excellent written skills with experience of report writing Ability to compile, analyse and evaluate qualitative and quantitative data to incorporate into reports Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Able to work to challenging deadlines and deliver set objectives Good organisational skills. Willing to travel to GBS campuses, as appropriate.
