Our client is an expanding, established heavy metal engineering company who is part of a much larger group. You will be joining an established design team at a great time of breaking new ground. The position is very project mechanical design oriented, working in a team environment. Full projects are taken from concept, right through development and design for manufacture.
The role will involve frequent use of Solidworks, drawing up Bill of Materials, designing with the view of minimum wastage and efficiencies.
Essential criteria for this role of Mechanical Design Engineer (Project Design):
- A minimum of 3 years' experience within Mechanical Design Engineering on similar products
- A competency in 3D design - Solidworks, Pro Engineer / Creo, Solidedge or Inventor
- A relevant 3rd level qualification in an engineering related subject is preferred, however more related design experience will be considered
- Strong communication and people skills
