- Display an outstanding level of customer service.
- Prevent and deter unauthorised access to non-public areas of the site.
- Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the assignment instructions.
- Perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the assignment instructions.
- Assist employees and visitors with any concerns they might have.
- Ensure any equipment provided by the customer and First Response Group is managed in accordance with procedures as detailed in the assignment instructions.
- Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring the safeguarding of the premises.
- Ensure all employees and visitors have proper accreditation for accessing buildings.
- Ensure all walkways and emergency escape routes are always kept clear.
- Respond and investigate all fire and intruder alarm activations.
- Report instances of property at risk of being lost, stolen, damaged and/or vandalised.
- Carry out initial investigations and report both verbally and in writing incidents, suspicious activities and vehicles.
- Identify opportunities for improving practices and processes and discuss with the duty manager and site operations manager.
- Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed.
