This role sits within a close-knit Finance Department at the company's headquarters in Woking. This role plays a key role in collaborating with UK departments and international branches, taking ownership of the month-end close for the business and leading the Group consolidation process. The position is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting and delivering meaningful insights to support informed decision-making across the Group.

Description:
- Lead and mentor a team of two Assistant Management Accountants, providing guidance and support.
- Manage and ensure the timely and accurate completion of the month-end close for the business and Group consolidation process.
- Prepare and deliver monthly consolidated management accounts and KPI reports, highlighting financial performance and key metrics.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis to explain key drivers behind sales, gross margin, and operating profit fluctuations.
- Perform in-depth gross margin analysis across the Group, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor and report financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing early warnings of potential variances.
- Oversee the complete monthly balance sheet close for the business, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Review and approve all balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring integrity of balances and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Support the Head of Finance in preparing year-end statutory accounts, tax submissions, and managing external audits.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget, providing analytical input and financial insights.
- Lead or support ad hoc finance projects, such as finance system implementations and improvements to business processes and controls.
Profile: Qualified - ACA / ACCA / CIMA. Strong IT skills - excel in particular.
