The Warehouse Assistant shall report to the QHSE & Warehouse Manager to follow and support the established warehouse processes, adopting a good level of safety mindset and standards. The control for group rental asset and inventory management across the business is carried out with the warehouse environment and is a key part of the business. Ensuring all of our products are accounted for and despatched efficiently to customers. This is a role that is vital to ensure we have the right equipment in the right place at the right time.
Responsibilities of the role
- Control and operate the day to day running of the warehouse in the absence of the QHSE & Warehouse Manager.
- Maintain stock control procedures for all company property.
- Coordinate accurate order fulfilment, checking and recording all goods received into, and shipped out of our warehouses.
- Acquire expert product knowledge to ensure correct equipment is delivered to customers.
- Maintain inventory records, including item inventory, bin locations and quantity at each level.
- Support implementation of our stock management system and process advancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Support reports around stock availability, stock turn and aged stock.
- Carry out monthly stock counts and prepare for audits.
- Maintain physical condition of equipment; work with technicians to issue work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Gain understanding around how the condition of our assets can inform their useful lives and requirement for obsolescence.
- Support warehouse productivity and efficiency and contribute to develop action plans to drive improvement.
- Act as the point of contact for collections and deliveries from our Dundee warehouse, loading and unloading as required.
- Ensure biosecurity of quarantined equipment and disinfect ready for repairing and restocking.
- Uphold strong values around brand awareness when preparing shipments, ensuring products are packed carefully and securely to ensure safe delivery of Ace Aquatec products to customers.
Experience & Skills:
- 2+ years experience as a stores person.
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to use initiative.
- Knowledge of standard business software applications, particularly in the use of stock management systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Health and Safety knowledge desirable.
- Full, clean UK drivers license required.
